This role is part-time and involves working with a diverse clientele.
Availability Requirements:
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-8pm, Fridays from 10:30am-6pm.
The Fitness Consultant is a qualified professional capable of assisting both medically compromised and healthy individuals. Ideal candidates will possess leadership skills, a strong enthusiasm for fitness, a diligent work ethic, and the ability to think critically and take initiative.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or a related discipline is mandatory.
- Current CPR/AED certification (hands-on training required) and First Aid certification are essential.
- Preferred: Personal Training certification from a recognized national organization (e.g., ACSM, NASM, NSCA).
- Preferred: Group Exercise Primary certification from a nationally recognized body (e.g., AFFA, ACE, NASM).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective services to members, patients, and clients.
- Conduct member assessments.
- Develop and update exercise prescriptions.
- Provide manual stretching, percussion therapy, and compression services.
- Offer personal training sessions.
- Deliver nutrition guidance.
- Facilitate one-on-one medical services.
- Conduct safe and engaging group classes.
- Accurately input data into software systems and track member progress.
- Build strong relationships with clients to meet specific business objectives.
- Contribute to revenue generation efforts.
- Report on monthly metrics and retention statistics.
- Manage day-to-day member inquiries and concerns.
- Participate actively in team meetings.
- Support colleagues in community outreach initiatives and health promotion activities.
Reports to the Director of the Medically Oriented Gym.
