Neonatologist Position

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neonatologist to join our team at a state-of-the-art medical center in Reno, Nevada. As a Neonatologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to newborns and their families, working closely with our team of board-certified neonatologists, OB hospitalists, and pediatric specialists.

Responsibilities:

• Manage infants born at 32+ weeks gestational age and weighing 1,500+ grams
• Oversee convalescing infants after intensive care
• Care for infants with moderate illnesses expected to resolve without requiring higher-level care
• Manage infants needing mechanical ventilation for less than 24 hours
• Stabilize and transfer infants born < 32 weeks gestational age and < 1,500 grams
• Care for infants with a gestational age of 34 6/7 weeks or younger
• Care for low-weight infants who are not ill but require frequent feeding or extended RN care
• Deliver cardiopulmonary resuscitation and continuous cardiac monitoring as needed
• Administer supplemental oxygen and intravenous fluids/antibiotics post-transition period
• Manage scheduled gavage feedings

Requirements:

• Nevada medical license
• DEA
• Board Certification or Eligibility, Neonatology
