Job Description

We are seeking candidates that are able to work M-F 7:00a-4:30p & Saturdays from 7:00a-12:00p (during peak season April-July). As a Wholesale Nursery Cashier, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service while handling transactions and assisting customers with their purchases.

Responsibilities

  • Process transactions using cash registers, scanners, and other electronics.
  • Invoice same-day transactions for plant material and general landscape supplies.
  • Process deliveries, create orders for pick-ups (same-day and future), and manage returns, credits, and refunds.
  • Handle cash transactions, including counting cash and making change accurately.
  • Answer phones, assist with customer orders, and transfer calls to the appropriate department.
  • Provide excellent customer service and product knowledge to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Restock supplies as needed and maintain an organized workspace.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to solve problems and assist customers.
  • Help with other tasks as assigned by the team.

Requirements

  • No specific educational requirements.
  • Customer service or cashier experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for long periods.
  • Attention to detail and a positive attitude when resolving customer complaints.
  • Willingness to work mornings, mid-afternoons, and evenings.
