Job Summary

The University of Miami is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Infusion Team as a Level II Registered Nurse (RN) - Infusion Specialist. This is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their unique needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Education and Training: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in infusion therapy.
  • Quality Improvement: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction, safety, and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in infusion therapy.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
