Job Summary

Lightning Bay Pneu-Draulics is a leading provider of Industrial and Marine Hydraulic Services. We are seeking an experienced Millwright to join our team in Tampa, FL.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance, hydraulic repair, and troubleshooting. They will be responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and repairing equipment and vehicles to ensure safety and ongoing operation.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of hydraulic systems, heavy equipment mechanical components, and fabrication tools and techniques. They will also have knowledge of MSHA, OSHA, federal, state, and local job site health and safety rules, regulations, and best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, inspect, and repair equipment and vehicles to ensure safety and ongoing operation.
  • Diagnose and repair operating equipment, including electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Perform basic fabrication work using welding equipment, torches, tools, and/or machinery.
  • Accurately and efficiently complete paperwork and/or computer database entries relating to the work performed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Four years of progressively responsible mechanical experience as a journeyman mechanic (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Mining and Marine industry experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a maintenance facility or related environment with vehicles, processing equipment, such as: Hydraulics, balers, conveyors, hoppers, electric motors, and landfill equipment preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of Hydraulics, heavy equipment mechanical components, and parts, as well as fabrication tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of alternating and direct current electrical controls and motor systems.
  • Knowledge of MSHA, OSHA, federal, state, and local job site health and safety rules, regulations, and best practices.
  • Basic computer programs.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Graduation from a formalized mechanical trade school highly desirable.
  • Valid driver's license, required.
