Position Overview
The Compensation Specialist plays a vital role in the design, execution, management, and communication of compensation initiatives at Bronson. This position involves critical analysis and the formulation of recommendations that align with our compensation strategy. Furthermore, it ensures that our compensation practices are both competitive and equitable, both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops, implements, communicates, and manages comprehensive wage and salary programs across the organization.
- Conducts in-depth analyses to propose new compensation programs or enhance existing ones, ensuring accurate and timely data interpretation.
- Collaborates with leadership on job evaluations and the creation of job descriptions, analyzing internal and external data to guarantee competitive and equitable recommendations.
- Provides compensation advice for new hires, promotions, and demotions, monitoring new hire activities and changes in status to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Works in partnership with HRIS to enhance Workday functionalities and assists in preparing and processing payments within the system.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a healthcare or service organization, as a Compensation Analyst/Specialist.
- Availability to be onsite quarterly is required.
- Proficient in Compensation Management systems such as Workday and PayFactors, with strong Excel skills.
- Advanced mathematical and analytical skills are essential for effective data gathering, analysis, and interpretation, as well as problem identification and resolution.
- Proven ability to create detailed spreadsheets and proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and preferably Workday.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are necessary for developing correspondence, drafting policies and procedures, and generating regular reports.
- Strong organizational skills are required to manage multiple priorities effectively and to establish organized systems and processes.
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills are crucial for interacting with all levels of management and internal/external customers in sensitive situations, as well as for conducting formal presentations.
- The role may involve tasks that lead to high levels of mental and visual fatigue, requiring sustained attention to detail and the operation of a personal computer for significant portions of the workday.
- The position entails some physical demands, including regular walking, standing, sitting, and occasional lifting of light objects.
