Respiratory Care Practitioner Level I Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner Level I to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. This is a part-time position available, with 11am-11:30pm shifts and every other weekend and holiday rotation.
The successful candidate will have an Associate of Science degree and certificate of completion of an AMA-Approved Respiratory Care Program, as well as current licensure by the State of Connecticut as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and Registration by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). A Bachelor of Science Degree is preferred.
A minimum of one-year acute care experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner is also required. The ideal candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational and interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to work under stressful conditions.
The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, based on industry standards and the cost of living in the area. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing patient's pulmonary status, employing basic and advanced skills, and documenting services administered via electronic medical record (EMR). You will also contribute to effective communications within the department through documentation of changes in patient's clinical status and therapeutic objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Clinical Application of Respiratory Care: Functions efficiently, resourcefully, and skillfully in providing patients optimum age-specific respiratory care.
- Documentation and Written Communications: Accurately records all care provided via electronic medical record (EMR), identifies patient on written documents by using the medical record number (MRN) and patient labels, and maintains patient confidentiality with documentation practices.
- Consultation, Collaboration, and Communication: Communicates clearly and appropriately with co-workers, demonstrates a cooperative team spirit and leadership, and effectively contributes to excellence of patient care.
