Job Summary:

As a Radiologic Technologist with the University of Vermont Health Network, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care by performing diagnostic radiologic procedures in various settings and locations. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that patients receive accurate and timely diagnoses, while maintaining a professional and compassionate demeanor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures on patients as ordered by licensed providers, adhering to hospital and departmental policies, as well as New York State guidelines.

• Assist in all aspects of Orthopedic and Sports Medicine, including education and skills development.

• Collaborate with physicians and staff to provide effective communication and ensure efficient quality care in stressful situations.

• Maintain a high level of sensitivity and interpersonal skills when interacting with apprehensive patients and families.

• Possess a valid New York State license and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

• Maintain BLS certification and adhere to the special needs and behaviors of patients for whom care is being provided.

Requirements:

• New York State Department of Health license (includes temporary license)

• ARRT Radiographer (R) registration

• Sufficient sensitivity and interpersonal skills for dealing with apprehensive patients and families

• Positive and effective communication skills for interaction with physicians and staff

• Ability to think and act quickly in stressful situations

• BLS certification (or obtained within 3 months)

Salary Information:

Minimum Salary: 28.88

Maximum Salary: 41.88

Salary Unit:

Hourly
