Job Summary:
This role provides direct clinical patient care in a fast-paced acute medical unit at Shelby Medical Center. The successful candidate will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis. The role will also supervise staff to ensure appropriate care is delegated and support the Chief Nursing Officer in ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Active and current registered nurse license in the state of residence/practice
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to serve as a role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing
Education and Certifications:
- Required: Graduated from a state-approved school of nursing or an accredited school
- Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelor's or Master's degree)
- Required: Must be currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice the profession as required by law, regulation in the state of practice or policy. CPR certification
Shelby Medical Center:
Shelby Medical Center is a 252-bed facility that sees over 51,000 patients in the emergency department every year. We offer advanced technology resources, including a 3 Tesla MRI, a robotic surgery program, and a state-of-the-art cardiology suite. Our services include fast, life-saving response times for patients with chest pain or stroke symptoms; cardiology, including specialized surgical services; orthopedics, including rehabilitation; and psychiatric care.
