Job Summary:

The Weekend Supervisor is a key member of our nursing team, responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality care is maintained on weekends. This role assists the Director of Health Services and Assistant Director of Health Services in planning, organizing, and directing the weekend functions of the Nursing Department.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing methods for coordination of nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
• Complete nursing admission assessments and baseline care planning for new admissions.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of skilled documentation, including MDS section GG Functional assessment.
• Supervise and oversee resident care according to assessed resident status and established plan of care.
• Participate in the development, revision, and implementation of resident care plans.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications and treatments as ordered by the physician and/or included as nursing interventions on the plan of care.

Requirements:

• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
• Must be able to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English.
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.

Work Environment:

This role is based at Wooded Glen Health Campus, where you will work closely with our team to provide exceptional care to our residents.
