Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Carle Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and assisting physicians with various procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer contrast material and perform venipuncture as needed, while recognizing and responding to hypersensitivity or allergic reactions.
  • Assist with inventory and supplies, and check patient and chart identification, diagnosis, and treatment position.
  • Compile clinical information and document accurately and completely.
  • Provide patient care, including comfort, support, safety, and confidentiality.
  • Inform procedural nurses of correct doses of intra-procedural medications, radiation, and sponge/sharp counts.
  • Perform on-call duties and work variable shifts as assigned to meet department needs.
  • Work around and maintain a sterile field during procedures.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in a related field or Certificate in Radiologic Technology.
  • Radiography (R)(ARRT) certification upon hire and IEMA Radiography License upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year.
  • Previous Radiologic Technology experience in a procedural setting is preferred.
