Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Rivers Edge Hospital. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating, planning, directing, and administering treatment modalities and procedures to restore function and prevent disability in our acute inpatient population. This is a weekend rotation position, requiring a minimum of one weekend per month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients to determine physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Administer treatment modalities and procedures, including exercises, stretches, and manual therapy, to restore function and prevent disability.
  • Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure effective care and coordination.
  • Document patient progress and treatment plans in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.


Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
  • Current licensure to practice in the State of Minnesota.
  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association.
  • Acute care experience preferred, but not required.


Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment, with frequent standing, walking, and lifting. The Physical Therapist must be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, and maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
