Pharmacy Technician Job Description

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacy team in providing exceptional patient care and service. Your primary responsibility will be to assist licensed pharmacists in dispensing medications, processing prescriptions, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enter prescription information into the computer system, including patient searches, prescriber searches, and insurance billing.
  • Retrieve medication from inventory and prepare prescriptions for dispensing.
  • Assist with maintaining the pharmacy department, including cleaning and organizing the workspace.
  • Support inventory management processes, including order review, inventory returns, and restocking shelves.
  • Administer Rite Aid programs, including FlavoRx and Living More.
Requirements:
  • H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
