Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Local Truck Driver to join our team at Dutch Farms Inc. As a Local Truck Driver, you will be responsible for performing local driving duties to and from customer locations, including unloading products at the stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a tractor-trailer to and from customer locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery of products.
  • Unload products at stores, maintaining a high level of customer service and ensuring accurate inventory management.
  • Inspect the truck before and after trips, submitting reports to your Supervisor for further repair as needed.
  • Check the radiator and washer fluid to maintain the tractor-trailer, adhering to company safety programs.
  • Inspect the load and ensure it is locked in and secured with load locks and straps.
  • Maneuver the truck into loading and unloading positions as needed, demonstrating excellent driving skills.
  • Unload the truck for customer delivery, maintaining accurate records of products carried, delivered, and returned.
  • Maintain telephone contact with the Supervisor to receive instructions or to be dispatched to a different location.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations or business needs.
Requirements
  • Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations, adhering to Dutch Farms Inc. policies.
  • Read and write in English the bill of lading to determine assignment, maintaining all required certifications.
  • Maintain a clean and safe driving record, adhering to company safety programs.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and rotate, with a Physical Demand Limit (PDL) of 60-70 lbs and occasional PDL at 150 lbs.
  • Work well in a team environment, including being able to work with a diverse group of people from all aspects of the Dutch Farms business.
  • Ability to operate and maintain equipment safely at all times, with a CDL Class A, B, or C license required.
  • Ability to work in severe weather conditions, both heat and cold, and make overnight runs as required by shipping needs.
