Are you a licensed physician or physician assistant looking for a unique opportunity to contribute to the Maryland Department of Health Board of Physicians contract? Do you want to utilize your expertise to review medical records and provide valuable insights? We invite you to consider this peer reviewer position with Livanta.
Responsibilities- Review medical records, depositions, and other materials related to complaints or investigations in your specialty.
- Render opinions on charts regarding whether the care rendered met standards and whether the practitioner kept adequate medical records.
- Work from home or the office, on your own time, with access to all necessary training, software, and templates.
- Receive a modest fee per case after the state approves your report and Livanta is paid for the work.
- Be licensed in Maryland for at least 5 years.
- Have been in clinical practice for at least 5 years post-residency, including fellowship time in your specialty.
- Have an active practice in Maryland, seeing patients at least 8 hours per week or the majority of your practice time.
- Be free of pending actions, potential actions, or exclusions.
- Be willing to testify about your reports, which may involve additional pay.
