Precast Concrete Laborer Job Description

The D.A. Collins Family of Companies has a long history of delivering safety, quality, and productivity to industrial, infrastructure, highway, and bridge construction projects. As a member of the D.A. Collins Companies, Pallette Stone Corporation is seeking a skilled Precast Concrete Laborer to join our team at our Saratoga Springs, NY facility.

The selected candidate will become a member of the Teamsters Union Local 294 and will enjoy the wages and benefits afforded to its members. Please include your résumé and cover letter with your application.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Construct forms out of steel or wood using basic carpentry skills.
  • Operate basic hand & power tools.
  • Install miscellaneous materials in erecting concrete structures.
  • Check forms while concrete is being placed.
  • Operate lull and other equipment associated with production.
  • Pour & trowel finish concrete.
  • Assist and direct others in stripping forms after concrete is placed.
  • Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policy and procedures using appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to review and understand project plans, drawings, and specifications and interpret data.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Job requires bending, climbing, and squatting.
  • Basic carpentry skills.
  • Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
  • Heavy physical activity performing strenuous daily activities of a productive/technical nature.
  • Work outdoors with exposure to changing weather conditions such as rain, sun, snow, and wind.
  • CDL Class A license preferred, but not required.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Compensation:

Base salary range: $30,400-$77,500. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, overtime when applicable, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
