MEP Assistant Superintendent Job Description

Holder Construction is seeking an experienced MEP Assistant Superintendent to join our onsite project teams in Herndon, VA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • MEP Coordination and Installation: Responsible for the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and special systems coordination and installation needs of our projects.
  • Oversight and Management: Provide oversight to MEP trade partners and equipment vendors.
  • Scheduling and Quality Control: Assist in developing and tracking schedules, monitoring the QA/QC program, and maintaining and reviewing punch lists.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Make sound decisions and seek solutions to problems using all available resources from pre-construction through commissioning and close-out.
Requirements:
  • Commercial Construction Experience: 5+ years of experience in commercial construction with large, sophisticated MEP systems.
  • Project Management Skills: Effective in understanding workforce/staffing requirements, project progress, and troubleshooting field engineering problems.
  • Complex Project Experience: Experience managing the construction of complex MEP infrastructure projects such as data centers, airports, and other special use facilities.
  • Client and Design Partner Management: Strong experience in managing relationships with clients and design partners on a professional level while supervising trade partners and vendors.
