Job Summary

Fresenius Medical Care Holdings, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Patient Care Technician III to join our team. As a key member of our dialysis healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines
  • Support the maintenance of a safe and clean working environment
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding dialysis therapy and related health issues
  • Assist with the recruitment and training of new clinical staff
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of educational programs for PCT staff
  • Participate in infection control audits and reinforce infection control practices within the clinic
  • Support the Home Therapies program by assisting with patient education, scheduling, and inventory management
Requirements
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Valid PCT national certification or state-specific certification as defined by Center for Medicaid/Medicare (CMS)
  • At least five years of patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred
  • Successful completion of the organization's dialysis training program and CPR certification
