About the RoleA Brink Safety Professional plays a critical role in ensuring our staff has injury and accident-free work days. This position spends up to 100% of their time in the field, working with managers and staff to ensure safe project outcomes. Key responsibilities include:
Safety- Provide a positive example of safe behavior to fellow employees.
- Ensure a safe work environment for those around you.
- Assist with site safety analysis and establish additional PPE requirements as needed.
- Ensure proper PPE is utilized by everyone on a jobsite during site visits.
- Develop and disseminate safety alerts and information in a timely manner.
- Ensure staff is trained on Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Work with the Safety Manager to develop and promote best practices in safety management.
- Understand and mitigate safety risks.
- Ensure all processes are followed consistently.
- Prepare and send incident reports and safety alerts in a timely manner.
- Manage the process to ensure safety policies are developed, disseminated, and followed.
- Work with clients to capture the essence of our safety program and meet their expectations.
- Provide guidance on Safety matters to Brink Staff.
- Support the assessment of safety policies and processes annually.
- As a safety professional, it is essential to work toward training everyone onsite to become an individual proponent for safety through mentorship.
- Disseminate safety information and best practices throughout the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree preferred (in environmental health and safety, engineering, or a related field).
- Minimum 3 years of field safety experience or equivalent related experience.
- Valid, Active Driver's License.
- Valid, Active DOT Medical Examiner's Certification.
- Willingness to travel and work on various job sites throughout New Mexico.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP) certification.
- Preferred OSHA 500 Trainer/Instructor or willingness to obtain.
- Preferred CPR First Aid Instructor or willingness to obtain.
