The Monitor Technician is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for ensuring the highest level of patient care in our Cardiac Care Unit. As a Monitor Technician, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining telemetry equipment, interpreting rhythm strips, and reporting any cardiac arrhythmias or rhythm changes to the primary nurse.
Key Responsibilities- Set up telemetry equipment for new admissions according to established procedures.
- Interpret and document rhythm strips at regular intervals.
- Report any cardiac arrhythmias or rhythm changes to the primary nurse.
- Report changes in pulse oximetry data to the primary nurse.
- Assist in maintaining telemetry supplies.
- Applicant must successfully complete the monitor technician credentialing process within the first three weeks of employment.
