Physical Aspects:

  • Obtaining a Commercial Driver's License permit within 60 days of employment

Functions Expected in Overhead Powerline Construction:
  • Safe performance of construction, maintenance, and repair work on overhead systems
  • Proper inspection of equipment like rubber goods and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Installation of various components like transformers, switches, insulators, etc.
  • Working on energized high voltage systems with skill and care
  • Maintenance of company vehicles, equipment, and tools
  • Ability to work at heights and confined spaces
  • Understanding and application of safety regulations
