Position Overview:
As a Geriatric Care Travel Nurse, you will be entrusted with the delivery of healthcare services to a primarily elderly demographic, utilizing the nursing process which encompasses assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive patient care while ensuring adherence to professional nursing standards.
- Guide and instruct ancillary staff in patient education and care activities.
- Possess a minimum of three years of nursing experience, preferably in an Emergency Department setting.
- A background in critical care is highly desirable.
Qualifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
- National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale Certification.
- Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- At least two years of experience in an Emergency Room as a Registered Nurse.
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of Nevada.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Certification.
- Graduation from an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing program.
