IBMi Developer

AMPORTS Inc is seeking a highly skilled IBMi Developer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications on the IBMi platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with our development team to create and maintain modular, scalable, and efficient RPG programs using RPG ILE and peripheral programs.
• Work with SQL and Embedded SQL for data retrieval, manipulation, and database maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with management, peers, business analysts, and SQA team members.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and optimization.
• Contribute to the improvement of software development processes and best practices.

Requirements:

• Approximately 10 years of experience as an IBMi RPG ILE Developer.
• Experience with modernizing IBMi applications.
• Proficiency in RPG ILE, RPG Free, CL, and CLLE Programming.
• Extensive knowledge of SQL and Embedded SQL.
• Experience with modular design and a commitment to producing clean, maintainable code.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced development environment.
