Job Title: Travel Nurse RN NICU

Tact Staff is seeking a skilled travel nurse RN NICU to join our team in Morristown, New Jersey.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment skills: Conduct thorough assessments, systematic, comprehensive, and accurate.
  • Clinical Skills: Demonstrate competent clinical skills, perform direct patient care activities, and provide appropriate nursing care.
  • Documentation: Maintain complete and accurate documentation, adhere to documentation guidelines.
  • Professionalism: Demonstrate professional practice responsibility, knowledge of policies and procedures.
  • Patient Satisfaction: Respond to patients' and families' needs in a professional, courteous, positive manner.
  • Safety: Follow National Patient Safety Goals, use safe transfer techniques, and proper body mechanics.
  • Unit Specific Job Function: Demonstrate knowledge of conditions, diagnoses, procedures, and equipment encountered in NICU.
  • Responsibility and Accountability: Contribute to the perioperative team, assume responsibility and accountability for directing patient care.
  • Patient Education and Chart Completion: Assess patients' understanding of surgical procedures, actively include patients and family members in teaching.
  • Duties Specific to PAT RN: Support the completion of patient testing in a timely manner, evaluate Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders for appropriateness.

Requirements:

  • 1 year experience
  • BLS - Required
  • RN License - Required
  • NRP - Required
  • RNC-NIC - Preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
