Responsibilities:

This is a full-time position for a Breast Imaging Specialist, operating on weekdays from 9 AM to 5 PM.

  • Assess imaging exams for technical precision and ensure that all completed examinations are accurately recorded.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of each examination in accordance with established protocols.
  • Exhibit expertise in patient positioning, imaging methodologies, and equipment settings to produce high-quality images, while utilizing appropriate film markers. A solid understanding of imaging protocols is essential to accommodate variations based on patient conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a current license as a Radiologic Technologist as mandated by the NYS Department of Health.
  • Active registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) in Mammography.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of general radiology and mammography.
  • Completion of an AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology program.
