Intermittent Clerk Representative

Job Summary:

The Illinois Secretary of State's Office is seeking an Intermittent Clerk Representative to work on a part-time basis. As an Intermittent Clerk Representative, you will be responsible for assisting with various administrative tasks and providing exceptional customer service to the public.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform administrative tasks, including data entry and record-keeping.
• Assist customers with inquiries and provide information about available services.
• Conduct road examinations for driver's license applicants.
• Process payments and balance cash and checks collected from fees.

Requirements:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with one year of general office experience.
• Possession of a valid Illinois driver's license is also necessary.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Bilingual skills in Spanish are highly desired.

Estimated Salary Range: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour, plus additional compensation for translation services. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
