Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech) to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a CT Tech, you will be responsible for capturing diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues using computed tomography equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
  • Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as required
  • Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
  • Position patients appropriately for scanning specific areas of their bodies
  • Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images
  • Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues
  • Evaluate CT scans to determine technical quality
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

  • Must have 1 year of experience as a CT Tech
  • Must have BLS, ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography, and state-specific licensing when required
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean or stoop easily
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
