Job Title: Travel Nurse RN Med Surg

Tact Staff is seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN Med Surg to join our team in Sitka, Alaska.

Job Description & Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical services, including working with providers, clinic staff, and management to ensure excellent quality of care and services.
  • Lead and direct the clinic staff to ensure efficient operation of all aspects of the clinic.
  • Maintain medication inventory and supplies not on the Warehouse PAR system.
  • Ensure quality control checks are done with Point of Care tests.
  • Document all care and services provided in the clinic, completing nurse duties professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the opening and closing of the clinics.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to be an effective resource for patients, providers, and fellow clinic staff.

Position Complexities:

  • Maintains skill sets, annual competencies, certifications, and participates in in-services and educational programs within the Clinic, hospital, and/or community as assigned.
  • Completes all mandatory training and attends staff meetings.
  • Adheres to infection control policy and procedures.
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment, including adequate supplies and upkeep of unit and equipment.

Position Qualifications:

  • Education: Active, unrestricted RN licensure, Alaska licensure.
  • Experience: 1 year acute care experience preferred, 6 months addiction services experience preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Nursing process, customer service principles, safety and infection control principles.
