JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Assurance Receiving Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the precise handling, acceptance, and online presentation of all merchandise, both large and small, associated with incoming purchase orders and unsolicited bids. This role involves thorough research for pricing and market insights, evaluation, and quality inspection of products, alongside capturing high-quality images and listing them for sale on the company’s digital platform, all in alignment with established database protocols and guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurately process and receive all incoming merchandise.
- Support the Receiving team with necessary research.
- Evaluate pricing and descriptions for items when market value is indeterminate due to age or manufacturer discontinuation.
- Provide comprehensive assistance with the standard receiving workflow, which includes:
- Reviewing each Bid or Purchase Order assigned, noting any additional verbal or written directives from Supervisors or Purchasing personnel.
- Identifying correct conditions and quantities of goods; documenting any alterations or discrepancies.
- Accurately record items into inventory, including serial numbers, series, firmware, and revision levels as required.
- Capture clear photographs of items, including accurate weight and multiple angles as necessary.
- Report on completed Purchase Orders and Bids as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Intermediate technical skills.
- Detail-oriented mindset.
- Proficient in computer usage.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
- Strong computer proficiency.
- Familiarity with industrial automation products.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication abilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Occasional sitting, reaching overhead, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Frequent walking.
- Continuous standing and repetitive hand movements.
- Lifting requirements include frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds, occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, and continuous lifting of up to 10 pounds.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required; some college education is preferred.
- Technical School Degree is preferred.
