UnityPoint Health - Neonatology Physician Opportunity

UnityPoint Health is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Neonatology Physician to join our team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. As a Neonatology Physician, you will provide comprehensive critical care to neonatal inpatients and participate in teaching and development of nursing and ancillary staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care to neonatal inpatients
  • Participate in neonatal consultation services, including newborn nursery, inpatient pediatrics, emergency department, labor and delivery, and referring institutions
  • Perform procedures, such as PICC placement, lumbar puncture, endotracheal intubation, and umbilical lines
  • Communicate effectively with caregivers and families
  • Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records
  • Participate in teaching and development of nursing and ancillary staff
  • Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of unit practice
Qualifications:
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Neonatology
  • Unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa
  • Current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
