Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Advanced Imaging Technologist to join our team at Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis, IN. As an MRI specialist, you will be responsible for operating advanced imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.

Job Description

This is a rewarding career opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals who share your passion for delivering exceptional patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Operating MRI scanners to obtain detailed images of the body
  • Preparing patients for examinations and selecting appropriate technical parameters
  • Performing patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination
  • Entering and monitoring patient data, transferring images from disk to magnetic media, and developing film in an automatic processor
  • Following radiation safety procedures and guidelines

You will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our team to ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to our Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with 2 years of cumulative experience or an Associate's degree/Technical degree in a related field
  • One or more of the following certifications: Cardiographic Tech, Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or Medical Sonographer

Estimated Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this position is $55,000-$70,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Please note that actual compensation may vary based on factors such as market conditions, individual performance, and other considerations.
