Job Overview:

The Markets Tax Information Reporting (TIR) team is tasked with managing IRS Tax reporting for forms 1099 and 1042 across various workstreams and legal entities.

Given the substantial volume of client accounts and transactions, the processes involve a combination of manual and automated methods, which may lead to reconciliation discrepancies during the year-end review process.

The analyst will collaborate with the TIR Subject Matter Expert (SME) to conduct a thorough data reconciliation of previous financial filing years to identify any discrepancies that could result in inaccurate tax reporting or potential under/over withholding of U.S. taxes.

Additionally, the analyst will partner with the SME to generate specific metrics for presentation to management, tracking the progress of reconciliations and addressing any identified discrepancies.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Analyze data and perform reconciliations to identify issues or data anomalies.
2. Present findings to the SME and management.
3. Assist in resolving any data issues by completing specific templates and work papers.

Knowledge/Experience:
1. Practical experience in reconciliation-related activities within a financial institution.
2. Experience in data compilation, documentation, and presentation of findings and progress.
3. Hands-on experience in an operational environment.

Skills:
1. 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in an operational setting.
2. Proficient in reconciling data from multiple sources.
3. Strong interpersonal skills to interact confidently with various divisions at all levels.
4. Proactive and inquisitive mindset.
5. Excellent MS Office skills.
