Job Overview

The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) is seeking a dynamic part-time faculty member to coach the intercollegiate cheer and marching band teams. As an Adjunct Coach, you will be responsible for leading the teams to success, fostering a positive team environment, and promoting academic excellence among student-athletes.

Estimated Salary: $30,000 - $40,000 per year (based on 10 standard teaching hours and a stipend of $17,900)

About the Position

  • Lead the intercollegiate cheer and marching band teams to compete at the highest level
  • Foster a positive team culture that promotes academic excellence and athletic achievement
  • Recruit and manage student-athletes to ensure a competitive team
  • Develop and implement instructional plans to enhance student learning outcomes
  • Maintain compliance with CCCAA rules and regulations, as well as LACCD policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in a related field
  • OR Associate's degree and six years of professional experience in a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and administrators
  • Sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
