Job OverviewThe Property Manager is a key role at Peak Properties, responsible for preserving and increasing the value of real estate investments. This position manages the day-to-day operations for multiple buildings/portfolios, ensuring the property is in good working order and meeting the owner's goals and objectives.Key Responsibilities
  • Tenant Relations
  • Enforce rental agreements, resolve tenant complaints, and oversee eviction proceedings
  • Coordinate tenant move-ins, move-outs, and renewals
  • Oversee rental collections for residential and commercial tenants
  • Provide excellent service to residents, communicating and building relationships
  • Facilities Management
  • Regularly inspect property to ensure it is in good working order
  • Coordinate maintenance to schedule repairs and resolve issues
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors
  • Oversee capital repair projects
  • Financial Reporting
  • Review financial statements to maintain accurate records
  • Ensure property taxes are filed properly and coordinate protests
  • Approve, dispute, or adjust invoices and payments
  • Owner Relations
  • Communicate and build strong relationships with owners
  • Maintain open dialogue on vacancies, tenants, property condition, and financial issues
  • Employee Relations
  • Manage, train, and counsel staff effectively
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, real estate, construction management, or vocational real estate training
  • 3-5 years' experience in property management
  • Interest in local, state, and federal laws and regulations
  • Basic understanding of contracts
  • Strong interpersonal and business communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and motivated self-starter
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
  • High level of organization and follow-up
  • Ability to handle large volumes of emails and phone calls
  • Ability to think like a building owner
  • Ability to manage and resolve conflict
  • Advanced knowledge of building maintenance and digital systems
  • Competence with and/or desire to learn and use systems/tools (Yardi, Excel)
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial reporting for a building
