Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced RN Charge Nurse to join our team at Cherry Blossom Health & Rehab. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing department and ensuring the highest level of care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and documentation of patient condition
  • Operation of oxygen equipment, suction machines, and other medical devices
  • Delivery of medications and administration of insulin
  • Use of electronic thermometers and glucose monitoring devices
  • Application of sterile dressings and operation of pressure reduction surfaces
  • Knowledge of isolation procedures and personal protective equipment
  • Collection of lab specimens and interpretation of results
  • IV implementation and administration
  • Seizure precautions and administration of IV medication during a seizure
  • Admits, discharges, and transfers patients as requested
  • Documentation and billing of supplies used
  • Sends patients to the hospital as necessary
  • Knowledge of procedures to follow if unable to reach physician
  • Provides oversight and direction to unlicensed nursing personnel
  • Makes compliance rounds and reports any pertinent issues
  • Maintains effective lines of communication with attending physicians
  • Assists the Director of Nursing Services in coordinating care planning and committee meetings
  • Participates in patient screening and selection process as requested
  • Assists the Director of Nursing Services in follow-up on consultant recommendations
  • Provides demonstration and education to unlicensed nursing personnel as necessary
  • Completes documentation procedures on patients
Requirements
  • Nursing degree from an accredited college or university or approved RN program
  • Active RN license to practice in the State of Georgia
  • Proficient in using a computer, especially Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills
  • Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
