Responsibilities

">
  • You will work closely with Administration, Providers, Leaders, and Staff to ensure awareness of quality and patient safety, facilitating improvement efforts across all areas.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a strong Consortium-wide Quality Management (QM) Plan, ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements for acute care, ambulatory, and behavioral health settings.
  • Facilitate and promote quality improvement measures, ensuring timely reporting and monitoring of compliance.
  • Use data analysis, chart reviews, and other QM tools to drive effective QM Plan execution.
  • Serve as a primary resource for interpretation and application of accreditation and regulatory standards, including TJC/CMS/OSHA/DNV.
  • Maintain active involvement in continuing education/training/conferences to stay current on standard changes.
  • Coach leadership and staff on regulatory standards, guiding them towards proficient implementation.
  • Assure development, implementation, and monitoring of action plans based on data and best practices.

Requirements

  • Current full, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska; direct hire must have applied for an Alaska nursing license before the start date, while agency staff must have an active license.
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or similar certification obtained within 3 years.
  • Three years' experience in monitoring quality and regulatory requirements, planning, and coordinating process changes, with demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of accreditation requirements, patient care principles, quality improvement concepts, medical peer review, risk management, and organizational functions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with expertise in data analytics, chart reviews, and extraction of data.
