Job Title: Caregiver Companion Home Care Assistant

We are seeking compassionate and reliable individuals to join our home care team at CarePro Home Health & Transport, Inc. Our team values everyones contributions and is committed to doing whats right by our clients, staff, and partners.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will provide care and support to individuals in their private homes while maintaining a safe and clean environment. You will work under the supervision of a licensed nurse and provide nonmedical services such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, warm companionship, and medication reminders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and promote a safe environment for quality client care through adherence to established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure a clean and safe living space, including bathroom, toilets, dishes, laundry, etc.
  • Assist clients with walking and transportation to appointments, outdoor activities, errands, etc.
  • Record and report any changes or concerns in behavior to the Director of Nursing via written and verbal communication.
  • Provide verbal reminders for medication.
  • Plan, prepare, and serve meals to clients.
  • Accompany and attend social events with clients.
  • Adhere to the established care plan.
  • Administer duties with the utmost professionalism and respect.
Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED.
  • Two (2) years of documented experience (preferably providing caregiving experience with adults).
  • Hold a valid non-expired driver's license.
  • Have current CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • Can provide evidence of a Negative TB skin test or Chest X-ray.
  • Able to bend, stoop, push, and physically assist with the needs of clients.
  • Able to read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to adhere to HIPAA and client confidentiality mandates.
