Job Summary:
South Central Family Health Center is seeking a skilled Physician to join our team. As a Physician, you will provide comprehensive medical services to patients of all ages, including preventative care, immunizations, primary care, and treatment. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective integration and coordination of the clinical department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage patient care in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
- Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care.
- Order, perform, and interpret tests and analyze records, reports, and examination information to diagnose patients' conditions.
- Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results.
- Monitor patients' conditions and progress, and reevaluate treatments as necessary.
- Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
- Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Coordinate work with nurses, social workers, rehabilitation therapists, pharmacists, psychologists, and other healthcare providers.
Qualifications:
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
- Minimum 2 years prior experience in a community clinic setting as a Family Physician.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Current California State Medical License.
- Current D.E.A. Certificate.
- Residency trained and board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR).
- ACLS or Advanced Life Support.
