Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Engineer III to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for overseeing substation engineering and consulting services for clients across the US. Your main responsibilities will include creating physical layout design deliverables, leading in the preparation of proposals and scope development, and executing engineering activities.

Responsibilities
  • Lead in the preparation of proposals and scope development, including conceptual designs and execution plans, engineering/project cost estimates and schedules.
  • Lead in the execution of engineering activities, including physical substation design, coordination of design activities with other departments, and development and improvement of processes, tools, and technology implementations.
  • Provide leadership, training, and mentoring to less experienced engineers and team members, regularly meet and correspond with clients or outside personnel, and perform quality reviews for other engineers and designers.
  • Support business development and marketing initiatives, and provide short-term field support during construction.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
  • Minimum 5 years related experience (completion of master's degree in related field may be substituted for one year of experience).
  • Professional Engineer registration strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with National Electrical Safety Code and IEEE/ANSI Standard.

  • Excellent written-verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Capability of solving difficult problems that require adaptation and modification of standard approaches, techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Compensation

Compensation will vary based on experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program.
