Childcare Support Educator Role

Overview: In collaboration with the Early Childhood Director, the Childcare Support Educator will assist in the execution of a curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of children enrolled in the daycare program.

Supervisory Duties: None

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of educational programs that comply with regulatory guidelines
  • Provide daily care and attention to children
  • Work alongside fellow staff members to enhance the learning environment
  • Oversee classroom activities as required
  • Maintain communication and records for parents
  • Uphold disciplinary measures
  • Ensure the upkeep of classroom materials and equipment
  • Comply with all relevant regulatory standards
  • Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma is mandatory
  • Preference for an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related discipline
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred
  • Ability to foster positive interactions with children
  • Certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED is required
  • Completion of mandatory training within the designated timeframe is necessary
  • Strong communication skills are essential

Physical Demands: This position requires various physical activities, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, prolonged standing, bending, and other physical tasks.
