Job Summary:

We are seeking a Recreation Therapist/UKHC to oversee therapeutic recreation programs and activities for patients. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation and be certified as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) within six months of employment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement therapeutic recreation programs and activities for patients
  • Document patient care and progress
  • Continuously improve group programming
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure patient-centered care
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation
  • CTRS certification within six months of employment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer competency in approved systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation from an accredited college/university
  • Experience in therapeutic recreation or a related field
