Key Responsibilities

As an EMT in our Emergency Room, you will:

  • Administer basic nursing procedures and assist with clerical duties related to patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Support routine patient care assignments and assist in therapeutic and preventive activities.
  • Help with patient movement and perform clerical functions as directed by the RN.
  • Maintain competency in performing 12-lead electrocardiograms and phlebotomy as ordered by the physician.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as an EMT is preferred.
  • Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (Basic or Intermediate) from the Texas Department of Health.
  • Current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
