Job Summary

Medline's private fleet of professional drivers, MedTrans, delivers lifesaving medical products to commercial and residential customers. Our fleet consists of 1,500+ trucks with newer equipment, and we manage a network of over 50 distribution centers nationally, providing 1-day shipping to 95% of the United States.

Job Description

The Driver is responsible for operating a Class A vehicle to transport medical products to local customers. This role plays a critical part in building positive relationships with customers by ensuring timely, accurate, and safe deliveries.

Responsibilities:
  • Load and secure product from the Medline Facility into a truck.
  • Safely operate a Class A vehicle between the Medline Facility and multiple customer destinations on a delivery route, adhering to Medline's safety regulations.
  • Unload and deliver product at customer facilities, ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Provide in-person support to customers, addressing their questions and needs, and providing documentation upon delivery.
  • Communicate with the dispatching team regarding necessary adjustments to the delivery route or schedule to meet customer needs and maintain safe operations.
  • Maintain a travel and cargo log in accordance with Federal and State regulations and company policy.
  • Perform vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation and sufficient fuel levels.
Required Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of tractor-trailer driving experience.
  • Class A CDL, licensed to operate assigned vehicles.
  • Ability to meet Federal and State requirements for commercial motor vehicle operation.
  • Clean driving record with no serious violations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $35.25 hourly. This salary range is an estimate and may vary based on location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.

Our benefit package includes health insurance, life and disability, 401(k) contributions, paid time off, etc., for employees working 30 or more hours per week on average.
