We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic/Technician to join our team at Kooner Fleet Management Solutions. As a Diesel Mechanic/Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs to heavy duty trucks to ensure our customers' fleets are running smoothly.

Job Summary:

The Diesel Mechanic/Technician will be responsible for:

  • Performing preventative maintenance and repairs to Class 6-8 trucks
  • Diagnosing and repairing various types of truck equipment, including electrical, brake, and cooling systems
  • Inspecting and testing equipment to diagnose malfunctions
  • Using basic hand tools, precision instruments, and power tools to perform repairs
  • Road testing vehicles to diagnose malfunctions or ensure they are working properly
Requirements:

To be successful as a Diesel Mechanic/Technician, you will need:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Diesel Technician on Class 6-8 vehicles and trailers
  • Proficiency in and ability to obtain certificates for DOT Inspection and Air Brakes repairs
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with customers and their drivers
  • Ability to work varied schedules and work outdoors in the elements at customer yards/locations
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to provide own hand tools
