We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Nurse Specialist to join our team at NavitsPartners. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing services to students, promoting student wellness, and collaborating with school staff to ensure a healthy and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Direct Nursing Services: Administer first aid, provide illness and emergency care, manage medications, and perform health teaching to students.
- Mental Health Support: Offer intervention and referral services to students, and collaborate with school staff and community agencies to ensure comprehensive support.
- Student Wellness: Enhance the educational process by removing health-related barriers to learning and promoting student wellness.
- Screening and Assessment: Perform hearing and vision screenings, and assess student health needs to identify potential issues.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to ensure seamless care and support.
Requirements:
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a Licensed School Nurse or Public Health Nurse, with a strong background in school health and nursing services.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, with a current RN license and certification in school nursing.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of school health policies, procedures, and laws, as well as experience working with medically dependent, fragile, and complex students.
