Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Battery & Charger Technician to join our team at Watts Equipment Company Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial batteries and chargers from various manufacturers.
  • Perform planned maintenance on all battery and charger systems.
  • Travel to customer sites to install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on motive power equipment.
  • Maintain and manage paperwork, including performance reports and customer correspondence.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience in field support within the DC Power and Telecom industry.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Internet.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and previous experience working with hand and power tools.
  • Able to read with comprehension and write documents in English.
  • Able to perform basic math and solve simple equations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Electronic, or Electrical field.
  • 4-6 years of DC power installation experience.
  • Advanced understanding of DC Power systems and test equipment.
  • Hands-on job experience and ability to work independently.
General Job Requirements
  • Must be able and willing to do overnight travel for product training.
  • Must be able and willing to operate a forklift.
  • Must be able to frequently bend, twist, reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Must be able to differentiate colors and lift up to 50 pounds on a daily basis.
