We are seeking a highly-motivated Veterinarian to join our team at Edgewood Animal Clinic, a CareVet partner. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our patients and their owners.
Responsibilities- Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems.
- Treat and dress wounds to promote healing and prevent infection.
- Perform surgery on animals to correct medical issues and improve their quality of life.
- Test for and vaccinate against diseases to protect our patients from illness and infection.
- Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines, to diagnose and treat medical conditions.
- Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments to ensure they are well-informed and empowered to care for their pets.
- Prescribe medication to treat medical conditions and promote healing.
- Work closely with team members to provide high-quality care and ensure excellent patient outcomes.
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree is required.
- Licensure in the state where you will be working is necessary.
- You must be able to show compassion to both pets and their owners.
- Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks is essential.
- You must be able to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal.
- A strong fondness and understanding of animals is necessary.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Knowledge of animal behavior is essential.
- You must be able to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research, and surgery of animals.
