Position Overview:

A client based in Scranton is looking for a dedicated and empathetic internal medicine physician to become part of a cooperative, nonprofit outpatient practice. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of one year of experience, demonstrate a commitment to evidence-based medical practices, and be adept at treating adult patients.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Valid PA medical license as an MD or DO
  • Completion of an accredited residency program
  • Board certification in primary care
  • PA DEA certificate prior to commencement
  • Current CPR certification

Desirable Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct primary care and outpatient services to clinic patients
  • Engage in the formulation of clinic protocols and procedures to uphold high-quality medical care
  • Participate in utilization and peer review initiatives that assess the quality of medical staff and services provided at the clinics
  • Offer supervision and guidance to physician assistants and nurse practitioners
  • Provide consultation services to practitioners via telephone as needed
