Histotechnologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Histotechnologist to join our team at Lighthouse Lab Services. As a Histotechnologist, you will play a critical role in processing and preparing tissue specimens for microscopic examination by pathologists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare tissue specimens for histological examination
- Perform complex histological procedures, including embedding, sectioning, and staining
- Ensure the accuracy and precision of test results
- Assist in training new employees and histology students/interns
- Participate in quality control testing and troubleshooting
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in a related field
- HTL certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification if facility applicable
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
