Medical Director for Oregon Hospitalist Service

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to lead our hospitalist team in Oregon. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, managing a dynamic team, and collaborating with interdisciplinary stakeholders.
About the Opportunity:
* **Duration:** This is a temporary assignment that can potentially be extended.
* **Location:** Our hospital is located in Oregon, approximately 80 miles south of Portland. We offer a unique blend of rural charm and access to urban amenities.
* **Schedule:** A standard schedule consists of 7 days on followed by 7 days off. This allows for an excellent work-life balance and minimizes burnout.
* **Shifts:** You will have the flexibility to choose between day shifts (7am-7pm) or night shifts (7pm-7am).
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Lead and manage a team of hospitalists, providing guidance and support as needed.
* Collaborate with nursing staff, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote a positive work environment.
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure understanding and cooperation.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, guidelines, and best practices to deliver evidence-based care.
**Requirements:**
* Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
* Current licensure in the state of Oregon.
* At least 3 years of experience as a hospitalist or in a related field.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
